T O P I C R E V I E WhappyaskingsI had a very interesting encounter with a client today and I pulled a couple of cards because I wanted to see what they thought of me (I had a hard time reading them, which is not usually an issue for me). I liked working with this client and would like to work with them again at some point.I got Queen of Cups-Lovers-Death(rx). I have my own opinion of the cards but I'm trying to keep things impersonal. What would you think if you got these particular cards for a question like this? beccathelion quote:Originally posted by happyaskings:I had a very interesting encounter with a client today and I pulled a couple of cards because I wanted to see what they thought of me (I had a hard time reading them, which is not usually an issue for me). Personally, I would think that the client had feelings for me... but there's a block. Perhaps it's you, keeping things interpersonal. A refusal to let things end in one way and start in another. But two majors in a three card spread... it's heavy. I personally get a weird feeling. Like it wouldn't be a good idea to pursue this. Almost like there's a level of illusion (seeing you as they want to, versus as you are) on the part of the client that's a little bit unhealthy. Not to say that you aren't an emotionally lovely, giving, wonderful person as is the Queen... but I dunno. Maybe I'm just being wacky and am totally off base, but something's funky here. I get a real "Warning, Will Robinson" vibe.EmpressMendezThey think you are lovely, is the client opposite sex? Maybe there might be some sexual attraction, but I believe he/she isn't single. Maybe you remind them of someone from their pastThey are the opposite sex and I got a very similar impression to yours looking at the cards! The encounter was very weird, it was my first time working with them and I work with clients on an hourly basis. When I first met him he was very abrupt and I thought "greeeattt, he's THAT kind of client" but then after about half an hour of working with him he started talking my ear off and really opening up to me (NOT part of my job and completely on him). He was talking so much that I actually went overtime with him and had to (as politely as I could) end the session, he apologized for talking so much and I said (and meant) that I loved listening to my clients and it wasn't a problem and then as he was leaving I said goodbye and he was back to the abrupt almost rude demeanor that he had when I first greeted him. I was worried I had upset him (in my field it is very important to keep customers returning) which is why I ended up asking the cards. The impression I got while he was talking was that he was/is going through a break up, I'm not sure why I got that vibe but there was something about the was he opened up, like he's been through quite a bit lately. Whats funny is HE reminded ME of an old friend I've lost touch with.happyaskings quote:Originally posted by beccathelion: Personally, I would think that the client had feelings for me... but there's a block. It was my first time working with this client and I keep things strictly professional with all of my clients so maybe that put them off a bit. Still, I didn't get any of those "this guy is into me" vibes and I'm usually pretty good at picking up on that. The cards are telling a different story though. I'm just really hoping I didn't **** anyone off!EmpressMendezGlad it made sense to you quote:Originally posted by happyaskings: They are the opposite sex and I got a very similar impression to yours looking at the cards!
